It was with great enthusiasm that Famiglia Mezzero achieved one of its dreams. The opening of a restaurant that elevates and respects the essence of traditional Portuguese cuisine, more specifically, the Codfish.
Over the years, the same question reiterates: “Where can I eat a good Codfish?”. Well, opened in August 2021, the restaurant Cais do Bacalhau is located in Vila Nova de Gaia (Porto) and promises to be your new food shelter. With three floors and a rustic and intimate interior, this space provides a privileged landscape over the poetic waters of the Douro River, or as we like to say: “it has breathtaking views”.
With the signature of experienced Chefs, from appetizers to main dishes, the menu at Cais do Bacalhau is full of traditional Portuguese specialties with a contemporary twist, always focusing on the use of fresh and regional products. the great highlight goes to Codfish, served in 12 different ways.
